PUMPKIN CARVING

Hi and Welcome to our Pumpkin Carving Party. God blessed us with the most perfect fall day a person could ask for. We had soup and cider, apple bobbing and pumpkin carving, a fire and donuts, and lots of friends and good times. Fifty-three people showed up in all.

Cider Pressing

Apple bobbing was a blast. This is much harder than it looks. Take it from my Mommy.

Mommy with her head dunked.

Blake, soaking wet from bobbing for apples. (Blake beat Mommy in her round)
Logan managed to capture a chicken. What a cool kid, that is not easy to do.

Pumpkins before dark.

Pumpkins after dark.

This is the pumpkin Daddy carved. Carving out the toaster slots was Uncle Bob's ingenious idea.

Thank you everybody for coming. We missed those of you that couldn't make it, so let's do this again next year!

Did Somebody Say Orange? Nope, Wrong Fruit.

There is Grandma in the tree and Grandpa and Daddy hanging out below.

Daddy and Grandpa confer about whether we have enough apples.

An endangered species: A photo of Mommy and me!

Picking out my pumpkin.

What a lovely day we had. And best of all, I took a gloriously long nap when we got home.

Helena: Seriously Mom, we finally meet Brucie in person, and this is the best photo you can get of us together?
Mama: Hey YOU try getting a good picture of two busy toddlers. Maybe Brucie's Mommy got a better one.
